Full Economy (Y) 1 point

Yeah - these are the same earn rates (excluding the promo ones) as VS FC. The interesting thing, however, is that the VA redemption levels are higher.

120,000 for SYD-LHR return with Velocity "points"
90,000 for SYD-LHR return with VS FC miles

Hind sight is 20/20

Maybe we could have seen the increase in the burn rates and inclusion of N fare class as an earning fare class as a sign that VS would change theres.

VS does not have a branded AmEx in the UK like the Queensland and Northern Terriories Air Service card in Australia but rather offers the transfer option from American Express' Membership Rewards program. Many reports suggest that transfer from AmEx MR take less than 10 seconds to post to your VS FC account.

just booked my virgin blue flight and have no way of transfering the points I earned![:#]

oh, and if anyone from outside oz is booking with them, watch out for them using DCC, it would have cost me £3 more!! [:o)]

Just an FYI,lasttime I transfered miles from Amex to FC it took about a day.
