Hello,
What aircraft is due to operate VS7 and VS23 this year, I know they are both A346s at the minute but are there any plans of changing back to change back to the 744(VS7) and the A343(VS23) and if so when will this be happening? Personally I think the A346s suit this route.

Thanks
Nick:)

VS7 is going to be changing back to the 744 sometime this month for the summer season, and VS23 wil remain as a A346 for the summer season.

LAX must be a pretty popular route then considering VS will be sending a 744 and A346 there!

VS have been looking to offer this capacity fo a while. BA up their summer service to 3 times daily.

I believe VS have been limited by the type of metal they have had available to them. The fazing out of the 343's finally allows for a 346 on the 23/24 to up the number of seats and get V-port on the route twice daily......:D

Of course, the optimist in me hopes VS will consider more service, not only to LAX, but to other gateways, if the Virgin America load factors justify it once VS-A comes online. I would presume that such thinking is part of VS' strategy, but don't know that for fact.

VS7/8 are our usual and favorite flights, and much as I want to see what the A346 is like, I do love the 744.

What months are classed as the summer schedule?

We're on VS008 on 24th March and its a A346. We got a call late last year that our return on VS007 on 2nd April was changed from the Airbus to the 747.

IIRC, Shaz, it's going to be April through October.

They change on different days. I think this was in another topic a long while back - basically, here are the differences.
