Hello,

Flying to LAS on 10 Apr on VS043. Currently booked in Economy in Row 60 - the last 3 seats before it tapers to 2 at the rear.
How many points would I need to redeem in order to upgrade from Economy to PE? Potentially I have 3 seats to upgrade. When I booked I was quoted £200 per seat. I have 70000 miles but would like to hold some back for trip to Aus in Dec.
Can anyone tell if the flight is fully booked?

Rgds,

You would need 10,000 points per person per leg. So if you wanted to upgrade everyone both ways it would be 60k. Of course you will still be earning on the flight, so this would top up your miles a bit before your trip to Aus.
Expertflyer.com have a tool that allows you to check availability. All the free ones seem to have stopped working lately. Members here get discounted membership of Expertflyer.

Thanks Paul and Jeremy,

I'm going to try my luck and I'll let you know how I get on.

No availability for miles upgrade anyway! I was informed some seats may be available thru cancellations and told to try at the airport. I think my chances are slim. What do you think?
Any further suggestions?

Stranger things have happened. Certainly try at the airport, and it may be worth giving VS a ring a couple of days before the flight
