Have just been to the SQ website checking fares in Bus Class LHR/BKK,
BKK/SYD and SIN/LHR. (Plan to fly QF between Darwin and SIN)
For the above three sectors in 1st Class it is only a total of £453 more than Raffles Class.
Surely this is a great deal - unless I have read it incorrectly?[:?]

Hey

Just double check that they are all for F and not J (just in case you are on a flight where the F cabin is not available or something silly) and check the fare class rules, but otherwise, book it!

I have found that flights ex-SIN are marginally more expensive to upgrade to J or F from Y, really not a lot in it, so it suprises me to see such heavy loads in Y. When i booked my SQ internals last year, some of the flights were something like an extra £30 to fly J over Y. This may very well be the case here, but its unusual for long haul flights to have such a small difference in price.

Thanks,
Sarah

Been back to their website to recheck and yes, LHR via SIN to BKK,
BKK via SIN to SYD and SIN to LHR are all appearing as first class. The flights are all 3 class and the difference is as I originally stated.
As you said its much too good to miss so am going ahead with the booking. Have never quite reached the dizzy heights of 1st Class before, so its bound to be worth a few TR's.
Shall keep you posted.

Let me tell you that SIA First is possibly the best you will experience. I have done it not 3 times to Singapore from London and its brilliant. The seats are fantastic. Make sure you "book the cook". There is a menu on the site whicj means you can book your meal in advance -- hmmm its just incredable - as for the first class lounge in Singapore - its really beautiful - if you want to know anything else pls asl and I will try answer as best as possible
