Getting 500 Error every time I try to enter forums

Not sure if I should put this in the other 500 error post, but it doesn't sound like the same occurance. Basically when I try to enter the forums by clicking on the "Forums" button, I continuously get a 500 error no matter how many times I refresh or click on the button. However I am sometimes able to get in using the "Latest Posts" window. Any idea what might be going on?

EDIT: I'm using firefox.

We are having some problems with search engines trawling the site and soaking up the bandwidth. Pix has managed to limit some of these but we are still having problems and ask you to be patient, we know it is a PITA.

Oh yeah, I remember seeing that mentioned somewhere else. It happens on and off, and at least it's not completely preventing me from accessing the forums.

also,please remember that at the same time ass these little buggers are hitting the site's bandwidth,hitting refresh etc will soak up more..if you get a 500 error give it a couple of mins then try again.

It seems like it's fixed itself now, either that or they only operate at a certain time of day, and that time is not now.

How ironic, I try to post and I get a bloody 500 error. Heh.
