Full details here

Travel in May and June 2006. New York from £289, LA from £349.

IMHO, This is a much better proposition now that N fares are points earning. :D:D

Interestingly, Nassau is the best deal here at £299. This is a 55% saving on normal rates. Are the loads light on this run?

Nick

Many thanks.

Not to miss a trick, VS have e-mailed Mrs Buns & myself with the offer.

Not a bad offer, considering you now earn miles :)

Interesting point in the T&C's though:

14. Once tickets have been issued Virgin Atlantic shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by (but not limited to) weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, or any other circumstances beyond the control of Virgin Atlantic.

Not seen that one before for an airlines T&C's (although it's pretty much what an average travel insurance policy nows says).

Sarah - worth changing that "Run date" to June, perhaps...? [:w];)

There will no doubt be a similar offer for Oct / Nov, well.. there usually is anyway. [:I]

Plus.. the fares are only valid until Tuesday (18th).

Ah, very true Nick.

One alternative we were investigating was Aug/Sep though - so June looks very cheap indeed right now! [:0]

Hmm...

If you log into the VAA site as normal as a FC member and then attempt to price flights then these reduced fares are not offered.

That's pretty bad.

I agree John. [V][n]

I assume that VS must have signed some sort of marketing agreement with the Daily Mail to keep the fares 'exclusive'. [n][n]

Do you think we'll see a PE/Upper sale for October soon or shall I look to use some miles up? TIA!

All the more reason to thank you for bringing this to our attention Nick.

To be fair... as Buns has pointed out, we have had emails from the Flying Club about it, as well.

Actually felt quite sick when I saw it - my daughter booked flights to NYC only last week. I checked her dates and she could have flown for £250 less..... should I mention this to her?

I just logged into Virgin's Website and it says 'this offer has expired' - its supposed to be until midnight so either its full or the expiry was set to mid-day by accident.
