in response to an earlier post re. not being able to claim miles for family members who fly with me. Both my wife and 13 year old Son have registered with FC. Neither has yet flown. Is it too late to recommend as a friend and claim the extra miles when they take their first flight (July)as I was not aware of this scheme until it was too late![:?]

Unfortunately that boat has saied fontyflyer - even though they have not flown the offer is for new members only - the only thing you might be able to try is to close those accounts and reopen new ones?

Not sure if this would be successfull or worth the hassle for the few miles you get per referal?

I'm sure others will jump in here to state this isnt possible/worthh doing!!

I guess the first thing to do, in order to work out if it's worth playing the "close & re-open the account" game, is to find out which fare class their flights are booked in.

If it's one of the more discounted fare buckets (non-Y/B/L/M I believe), it won't qualify you for the signup bonus anyway.

Find that out, and it'll tell you if it's worth all the hassle of closing & re-opening. ;)
