One that gets me safely from A to B with the maximum amount of comfort, for the minimum of expense.

On V-Flyer we have always avoided getting deep into the A.net type Boeing is better / worse than Airbus arguments that always degenerate into slanging matches.

Please be assured, that this thread won't turn into one either. Well - not for long anyway. :D[8D]

Hi Nick
Is that a threat of censorship?[n]

Not censorship, merely a reminder of the strict forum rules concerning ad homiens.

You are no doubt aware of the way the Airbus / Boeing 'debates' are conducted on A.Net, with insults flying both ways. This does NOT happen on V-Flyer.

We encourage intelligent debate and arguments, but once the insults start, the thread closes.

Forget the 4 Engines 4 Longhaul, and get some 777s

777-200ER, 777-300ER and introduce new routes with the 777-200LR.

Personally, although I love the 346- an 744/748 and 772ER/772LR/773ER fleet would have suited VS better.

ThatÕs cool then but sorry never been on A.Net before.
All I want to know is what aircraft people would like to see not what aircraft is better or indeed which manufacturer.

The new 747 boeing is working on, there's just something about the natural shape of the plane making seperate areas instead of just dividers.

If it was right now then the 772-LR

I seriously couldn't care either way. It seems strange that anyone would. I guess I'd like them to fly one of each so I can experience the differences.

with Decker on this - its means absolutely nothing.

What matters is whats inside the plane, what benefits you get, and how much you pay for it!

Although I might have doubts if VS purchased some Russian built planes! [:0]

Jerseyboy I seriously doubt VS (or indeed any other airline would buy russian birds)

Im not anti russian planes - they are just too loud and polluting to be used at European/US Airports! and thats before you compare their safety to boeing/airbus!

If they litterally cleaned up their act maybe we might see a viable manufacturer, but this isnt going to happen anytime soon!!

I think Deckers wink(;)) denoted just a touch of sarcasm!![:0]

Sorry I just realised I didnt actually answer your question[:I]

I would have liked to have seen VS run concorde for a few more years so I could actually fly it - which I never did[:#]

I dont think boeing make the 767 anymore (or was that the 757?)

It terms of available boeing/airbus planes VS use most of the current available long haulers (with the exception of the 777)

I wouldnt mind seeing that in VS colours as its a great plane!!

Jonathan I think you jumped the gun. I was totally appreciating DeckerÕs pundit and by the way a SUKHOI SU-47 is a Russian fighter not at all suitable for a commercial fleet.

Cheers Wayne
P.S Totally agree with you I would love to see a 777 in VS colours but would also love to see the new 747-8 in V/S colours also

I'd like to see more A346s and when/if they come the A380s, preferably with its own kind of onboard CH, although no one has expected this for many years - it's just going to be seats and more seats.

If we could have any plane, I guess a flying wing would be kinda cool or fitting a glass floor at the back of the aircraft[y]

Cheers,
