there's a rumor on dibb or it could be fact that they are getting 747-400's at the end of the year if this true could be strong competition to virgin in manchester flying club miles or not !!![:?]

Nothing mentioned on their website, they don't seem to have a "Press Release" section. The site does mention their partner airlines including BA and Continental.

They are:

IB are getting rid of their 744's that are flowing on MAD-TFN and MAN-HAV and replacing them with 330's. The 744's are leased/operated by Air Atlanta Icelandic the same airline who operate the Travel City Direct services. They will move over to TCD once their lease with IB ends. They are rather nice being ex-SQ aircraft with PTVs etc. (Air atlanta icelandic are of course part of the Akon Group who also own Excel Airways)
