Morning all,

Planning a trip to Brunei & Borneo for June this year, the cheapest way in J seems to be on Royal Brunei.

I`ve done a search but didn`t quite the results i was looking for, has anyone got any experience of using Royal Brunei in either J or Y?

Many thanks
:D

Hi bob

I've travelled a couple of sectors on them.
Both in J.
They have new 'lie flat' (ie angled like the old J2000) seats in a 2 1 2 config. Pitch is 60".
However one aircraft I believe has not been retrofitted and has REALLY old seats.
Refitted aircraft have AVOD at every seat. Other aircraft has main screen movies.
Service is generally very good... as you tend to get from most asian airlines...
They have a great lounge in Bandar.
But... and this is the deal breaker for me... they are a dry airline. So if you like a GnT/Champers/Wine etc then look elsewhere.

Its an easy connection from HKG with Brunei or Dragon Air (Dragon Air are fine for a short hop... similar management set up to Cathay so almost a british company!)so its certainly possible to do the trip with Virgin.

Also remember the flight has a stop at Dubai.

They will let you take your own drinkies on with you and they will even chill and serve it, so a case of dom should do the trick.:D
