I think that this is mainly a case of people wanting more without having to pay for it. I bet that the average person who thinks like this probably looks around the internet for the cheapest deal without a thought as to why it is so cheap and then expects to end up with more. Also, I don't see why there is such a problem with having extra ammenities in F/C/J... People travelling in these classes pay maybe ten times more and obviously should expect more for their money. In any case, for many airlines, the premium cabins are the money-makers and sometimes subsidise those in the cheapest fare buckets.
