Do you mean the OB "kit" (black/purple fabric) tags, or the regular silver ones that are used for check-in?

(Just as a side note - if it's the silver ones you're after, I'm presuming you realise they do not determine if your bag comes off first or not. That's done by the check-in computer & Bag ID)

To be honest I don't think many people look at the luggage tags, by the time you have them focused they're gone.

Don't worry you'll look the part as you walk onto that red carpet at check in.

Bet you look round at the cattle section to see if anyones looking at you ;)

Here's an idea. Leave your bags outside (with a travelling companion), run in and pick up two tags from check in, run out again and add them to you bags, then strut into LHR/LGW/MAN like the UC pax you are......

I am pretty sure VS used to send them out in advance, if you asked them to.

Not sure if they still do, as they attached them to your bags as you check in, but it is worth giving them a ring to find out.
