Will be interesting to see what comment Airbus make as this does look like a considerable setback for their mid-range product....;)

If the figures are correct - Boeing selling 10 B777 and B787 against 1 Airbus version..... Seems like Airbus have a massive task at hand to try and get a foot back in the mid-range group market......:D

Seems like a bit of a re-hash of old news, plus a bit of sensationalism thrown in for good measure. Not like the good old BBC to go in for that kind of journalism.

The A350 was clearly introduced as a response to the 787, and has managed to capture a quarter of the market even though Boeing have had more time to book orders.

The A380 "behemoth" (as the BBC describe it), can't serve regional airports because they are too small. No ****, Sherlock?

The source of that BBC piece seems mostly to be from Flight International, who clearly have no love of Airbus to put that kind of spin on it.

Anyways, V-Flyer is a A vs B free zone, so I think it best to lock this one down before it gets out of hand.
