i'm travelling from MAN-BGI next sunday (16th April) and i went on the VS web-site last night to allocate our seats, the plan showed that there were only around 35-45 seats un-allocated and there wern't a single 2 seats together, does that mean it's guaranteed we'll all be seperated in the flight or if we check in 3 hours before will be all be seated next to each other or near each other? also does anyone know what aircraft is likely to operate this flight? 'the what aircraft will i be on?' feature doesn't say!

Josh,

Not all seats are available for pre-allocation. I think it's around 60% or so that are. Therefore, more will open up (with the exception of exit rows, etc) during online check-in and the rest will be available at physical check-in on the day.

While that flight looks full, if you turn up early enough, they should be able to accomodate you sitting together without much fuss.

As for the "what aircraft" question - as you know, we don't have info. on the exact aircraft that will operate any route. Some of the previous flight history for MAN might be useful for an indication though.
