Airport hotel JFK

Has anyone got any recommendations for an airport hotel at JFK? We would want a painless transfer between terminal and hotel and back again. It's only for one night, so don't necessarily need an ultimate hotel experience, but we would need a fridge in the room for Baby Clouds meds, and room service would be good as we will be arriving quite late with two children who should be unconscious by then!

Equally, if anyone has stayed anywhere and thought "never again", that would be useful info too!

The only time I went through JFK, I stayed at the "Ramada Plaza" - it's a never again for me, awful hotel - one night was plenty enough [n]

JFK hotels are mostly pretty basic; I've found the Holiday Inn Express @ Jamaica to be the best of those I've stayed in. Get the Airtrain to Station C and then get the complimentary hotel shuttle. It drops you off at your terminal on departure from JFK. Not sure if I had a fridge in my room though and there is no room service however there are local take outs that deliver to your room.
