Wonder if someone can help out here. We are taking my mum to New York for her 60th Birthday (she doesn't know and won't until the night before we fly hopefully - and she doesn't read this site). As part of the weekend we want to take her to see Chicago. She's always wanted to go to NY and see Chicago so where better to see it.

I've just been looking at booking tickets, but the booking fee's are rediculous! One site has $22 per ticket, paying $110 just for booking them is a bit painful.

Does anyone know of any sites that I can use that don't have such rediculous booking fee's? I don't mind the fee's when they are at least reasonable!

Thanks

http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk have a £1 per ticket Service Fee for Chicago, don't know about other shows.

I've managed to get the overall service charge down to $36 which is a hell of a lot better using telecharge.com

When I was in NYC in March, Chicago was on sale at TKTS so if you want to risk it, you can get discounted tickets out there.

I'd recomment Telecharge though, if you want to make sure you can get tickets.

We thought about TKTS but don't want to risk it - part of the reason for the trip is to see the show.

Thanks for the recommendation on telecharge.

You could try the american version of ticketmaster, ticketmaster.com.

Their booking fees aren't too bad...

I know a lot of people that frequently drive down to NYC to see shows (I'm an audio engineer at a community theatre)- I'll see if I can find some more websites for you... I'll ask around...
