See I feel really bad for you HL. My Mom called to say I got my new gold card and my Dad's SSA card a week or so ago and that was near Washington DC, USA.

Also VS keeps sending these envolopes marked 'Trip Details Inclosed' or something to that effect. So mother dears first thought that I was skipping out on school and traveling on VS. I asked her to open them as either I got a free trip, error or it is a joke. Well it was an advert. Scaried Mom.....

Botheration!!!!

I am still waiting patiently for my gold pack and one of our beloved V-Flyers has intervened on our behalf to have it dispatched to me along with Aer John's. I still haven't received it [:(] but tonight I had cause to go into the VS website and as usual I logged on to my Flying Club account. Immediately something jumped up and hit me on the nose [:0] The FC number looked different. A quick check with my old card confirmed that I had a new number. The good news is that the new card must be on its way. The bad news is that my flight details in the Manage Your Flights page has disappeared. Not only that I have painstakingly entered my FC number for the various hotels and airlines that are VS partners in preparation for my upcoming trip and I now have to do it all again - or else wait till I get to each place and submit my card. All that work for nothing.

The renumbering happened to me as well because my database record went haywire (part of the reason I never got a renewal pack last year).

Don't worry about it, like when a credit card number changes, any transactions already in the system should automatically accrue to the new account member.

As for the flights, phone FC, and they can knit them back together - or you can do this yourself online if you remember the alphanumeric record locator. Retrive the flight by date, name and record locator, and then change the Flying Club number.

If it doesn't look like a gold card, it probably isn't. Remember that the computer 'accidently' changed some people back to silver - the same hasn't happened to you has it?
