Fare code

How can you find out what fare code your ticket actually is?
Im flying to dubai in september in economy, but on my e-ticket it doesn't actually have the fare code, it just says economy. Im assuming its an N class, seeing as i didn't pay for it. It was free because i used airmiles, but nevertheless i'd like to know the fare code, as i'd probably be interested in upgrading.
Also before you book your ticket is there anyway in finding out what fare code your ticket is? [?]

If it was free, as in a reward (mileage) ticket, it'll be booked in T class for Economy.

Just to clarify, this was a ticket booked with airmiles by the airmiles travel company not with virgin FC miles. I still qualify for tier points and miles.

Are you sure it is not on the e-ticket. Mine shows class as "Economy (X)" where the "X" is the fare code

E-ticket, just says economy, anyhow i called them and they said its an 'N' class ticket.
