So what will happen for existing card holders?
If I'm being thick here, please feel free to slap me...[}:)]

Well at the end of the day it is still MBNA. I am sure that they are smart enough to still keep the Mastercard.

I just decided to check on this thread again when I noticed it's popularity. Anywho, I was browsing google to see if VS mistakenly launched anything and I found this:
LINK
I'm not sure if this is just the cached page of the old credit card, but I didn't remember that one being only available to FC members. If it is for the new card, it looks like they have the 2 miles/pound policy still.
EDIT: By the way, if you try putting uk.virginmoney.com/vaa-credit-card/ into your browser it comes up forbidden.

Thats the old card. If you press the "apply" button it takes you to the current Virgin Money CC site which does not include the mile earning version

I've just received a text message
"As a valued Virgin Atlantic Credit Card holder you'll be receiving an exclusive invitation by post from Virgin Money and Virgin Atlantic in the next few days"

Don't think I actually gave them my mobile number, so I have a strange feeling they won't be texting me with this offer
