Depends on your travel plans. We did a two-centre holiday, one week in LA followed by a week in Honolulu, booked with VH. Flew Virgin to LAX, then Hawaiian Airlines between LAX and HNL, and the same route back. Some other people who were in HNL at the time on a VH holiday flew Virigin LGW to Las Vegas, then Hawaiian between LAS and HNL, then their return flight was Hawaiian back to LAX, then Virgin back to LHR. Hope that helps. Also worth a note, Hawaiian flights are mostly on Boeing 767's, with overhead TV's above the aisle, and they charge about $5 for use of the IFE [:0] We didn't bother, and I just used my Archos media player instead

Service on Hawaiian was pretty decent, not as good as I've come to expect of Virgin (well, PE on Virgin anyway

), and the food was pretty good too

The main problem I noticed was that on the flights you need to take to make the connection in LAX on the return leg, is that because its the first flight of the day, it was massively overbooked, and apparently this is pretty much a daily occurence.
