Indeed, the suite config on the ANZ 777 is very nice. 4-across like on the 747, and not cramped at all.

Cheers!

The gossip amongst crew and flight deck is rife at the moment. Here's what I've heard: We have cancelled the A380 and are taking the A330 instead to minimise financial penalties from airbus for cancelling. Apparantly our engineers have already been A330 trained and for our flight crew its just a short (1 week or so) course. They would be used on JFK/EWR/BOS/IAD routes. This would make sense as flight crews could fly A343 A346 and A330. Also the crew would be able to operate on all aircraft as we have B747, A343/346 which is classed as 1 because they are just variants and A330.

Unfortunatley, to contradict this rumour I have heard from the horses mouth (A drunk boeing salesman liasing with Virgin nigeria in Lagos) that we have definately ordered the B777. . .

Maybe we should just all wait and see what happens at Farnborough hey!!! Place your bets now!!

One thing that I'd put my year's salary on is that there won't be any VS A380 for a looooooong while.

There was a discussion on airliners.net (Topic name VS Twin) where someone from VS claims that the 20 unidentified orders for the B777 have been ordered by VS and they know the actual variant of the aircraft being ordered.

This would be the 20 identified in this parallel thread.
Denzil reports that the word on the street is that they are destined for Qatar.

Since this thread has been superceded by this one as Phil mentions, I'm going to lock this one now.

Could posters please ensure that we keep topics on track in a single thread in future, mainly by performing a search before launching an identical one as has happened here.

Thanks.
