Slightly o/t but at Easter we went to a dude ranch in Arizona (my 50th b'day present to myself). The offspring stayed in what used to be Val Kilmer's bedroom.

Don't worry about accommodation, it's the music for the car you've got to get sorted out first!!![8D]

Unless of course you have a penchant for a wierd mix of "classic" rock ("..and here's the Scorpions with 'Rock You Like A Hurricane'"), big hat country and western, hell fire and damnation preachers and Mexican pop.

It's a good point. Burn a few CD compilations.

Thinking about it, the Satellite radio stuff in the US is amazing - more channels than you an ever imagine & virtually NO advertising...! Agreed though, burning a few mp3 discs makes a lot of sense.

Yup - Sirius. (Warning: Sat-Radio = [y], Hertz "NeverLost" Sat Nav = [n])

Hertz is offering SIRIUS service in 29 of its rental models, including vehicle lines from Ford, Lincoln, Jaguar, Mercury, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Subaru, Infiniti, Audi, Volvo and selected GM vehicles. Hertz is offering SIRIUS in over 55 major airport locations nationwide including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, New York City, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Denver, Detroit and Chicago. Additionally, every Hertz Fun Collection vehicle comes equipped with SIRIUS. Find a location near you.

Agreed - just used Dollar's Sat Nav and it whooped Hertz's.

I've used Hertz sat nav a few times and it seems pretty good - only problem is not having the time to read the instruction book for an hour before setting off means some of the use of it can be a bit hit and miss.

That said it navigated me to the front door of the hotel in San Diego without any issues.

My guess though, is that Tom Tom and Navman are better in terms of intuitive use.

last rental I had in vegas had sirius sat radio - agree, its good. Nav was harder to find, but lets face it, there's not that many roads from Vegas to the coast, you probably won't get too far lost!
