What do you think of the new water fountains?

I was on VS200 from Hong Kong on Friday night. I flew G-VWKD which had the new water fountains. I like the idea but not the cups. Virgin should use normal cups.

I have also tried the water fountains and also liked them. There was a dispenser next to them holding cone shaped plastic cups which means you can't put them down anywhere though.

You could always keep your small water bottle or cup from the meal service and keep topping that up.

What cups do they use? What is the problem with them?

I usually carry a bottle of water with me when I travel so I can just top that up when needed.

Well on todays VS200 to sydney, they forgot the baskets for the toothbrushes so the crew used some glasses and put them on the bar

Ah, the "cooler cones" that you find in offices the world over.

The idea is that because they won't stand up on their own, you slug the water back in one go like it's a shot of tequila, and throw the cone in the bin.

It's an annoying psychological trick, done to stop people leaving used paper cups lying around.
