Yes, but the minimum amount is 10,000 HH points I believe. For 10000 HH points you would get 1500 FC miles

and as a rule with Hilton you only get points on 2 rooms. The exchange rate is bad though. For 175,000 Hilton points you can stay ANYWHERE in the world at a Hilton for 5 nights. Converting that to VS would give you 26,000 points. A one way UC upgrade...

If you are somewhere that has The Hampton Inn & Suites chain e.g The States, then if you stay at one of their hotels, having enrolled in their loyalty scheme, you get their HHonors points and Flying Miles. I stayed recently & paid $190.97 (inc all taxes etc) for a 1 bed suite but with 2 queen sized beds & received 1690 HHonors points AND 338 Virgin Flying Miles.

Isn't there a thing with Hilton HHonours where there are two ways of earning points/miles. One is based on spend and one on nights? I seem to recall Dean mentioning something about this.

Naww he's wrong; it's a three-way. More the merrier right?

You can earn...
HHonors points and Varible Miles (2 VS miles per US Dollar HHonors points and Fixed Miles (1000 VS miles, 200 VS miles at Hampton's and Homewoods; per stay) HHonors points and HHonors points (5 bonus points per US Dollar)

All combos earn 10 HHonors base points per US Dollar.

Now to book a room to pick which of the three ways to earn...[:p]

I generally swop between fixed miles and variable miles depending on my length of stay. fixed for short, variable for long.

Best was at the Millennium Hilton in New York in June. Our party were in three rooms; we all paid separately and then had the three invoices made one for me.
For a four night stay I achieved 12 qualifying nights [y] (and quite a few VS miles to boot).
