Hi

My wife & I are due to fly to Boston in October. The aircraft is showing as an Airbus 340-600 & the seating layout is showing as Config 2, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether the seats we have been allocated have window seats. The seats we have are 19 A&C. [?]

Thanks

Hi Steve,

There's quite a bit of info on the site about PE, window seats and the various configs - a quick search using "config 2" in the search box came up with this. I didn't read everything but there is a picture link on there too.

Try the search facility out - the only problem is that it often gets you reading lots of other things that were not what you wanted in the first place!!!

Thanks Mark,

It makes me think that I have maybe picked the wromg seats perhaps, may have to see about possibly moving if there any seats left.

Well thats what we are here for!! Better to have checked it out first than get on the plane and then think - "oh bugger!!!!"

Have you been allocated the seats or have you chosen them? Without wishing to assume anything - you can change seats in the manage your flights section on the Virgin Atlantic site and you can also call the Flying Club - always good to have the V-flyer seat maps in front of you when you do!!!

When I flew to LAX we first were booked onto a A340-300, But then it changed to a A340-600 [config 1] then into a A340-600 [config 2]. But on the day it was a A340-600 [config 1].
What Im Trying to say is your aircraft will probibily change closer too the time.
Not Only that if you check in 24 Hours in advance online more seats come available as they then know how many people will be flying so you'll probabily be able to change your seats to a better seat if you check in online early enough.
Have a good flight to Boston. In Sure You will[y]

If I remember correctly, row 19 does not have windows, all other rows do and row 18 (the bulkhead) has 2 windows, agree with MarkJ, best to try and change your seats on the VS website (although these are never certain until confirmed at check in)

Well I have taken the plunge and changed seats on the "Update Booking" page. I have gone for 21 H & K instead. Thanks to all who have contributed to my thread.
