Presume you're looking for 2 rooms as you might struggle to find anyone who will accept 5 guests (unless some are very very small ie babies)in one room?

Not on site but you can pick up rooms for £55 at the Arora international or one for £140 for this weekend with two weeks parking. Yes it's offsite but the kids will love the entrance and there's enough across the road to keep them happy in the town centre for an hour or two.

It's a fantastic hotel and free shuttle to airport 24/7 and you can normally check in really early (I did 8am last week) as most of the hotel is a crew hotel so a lot have left by then.

Just looked at their site and they are saying it's 10 pounds for the shuttle.

Give em a go Jetwet plus if the shuttle is full at the time you want to go they will organise a taxi for you and give you a voucher that says it's free and the hotel is automatically charged.

Don't be put off by where it is, it beats being shoved in the middle of nowehere like the Renaisance and others and beats the pants off the Hilton and Sofitel by price - you still have to push your bags from you room to the check-in even when you stay at an on-airport hotel.

PS If you twilight checking-in then you can call them and they will send the shuttle to pick you up I beleive.

Then your nan probably knows it at that big posh hotel round the corner of the station - well that's how most describe it.
