I've had my QC2s for 2.5 years now. A year or so in to my ownership the head band broke. I paid to send it back to Bose. They swapped it out for a new pair entirely.
On my last return from the US a couple of weeks ago the same area on the head band snapped. I called Bose and this time they treated me differently.
They sent me a package through the mail with a UPS return label. I sent my QC2s back and less than a week later I got this via UPS...
"Dear Customer
We have replaced your faulty Bose Quiet Comfort 2 Noise Reducing Headset with the latest version.
You will notice that they are a new fresh colour and have a modified headband. They also have improved internal shielding to reduce interference from external radio transdmitters i.e. Mobile and Cordless Phones etc.
