Hi
I have just splashed out on the LGW Clubhouse booked through VH. The VH website says I can prebook 1 treatment per person if I email them, however the VS website says this is a benfit only for gold card members.

So which is right? As I have paid to gain enterence, will i have to wait until the day before I can book?

I'm no Guru and ISTBC, but I think the comments on the website are aimed at the guests of UC or Gold card passengers where the guests are not travelling in UC.

email them, or better still telephone them.
They are open every day from 0730hrs till 1230hrs.
Number is: 01293 444342.

Enjoy your holiday,
Tim.

It was my understanding that if you paid for lounge access via VH you are not entitled to the treatments/hair cut. So you can't pre-book but if on the day you can try and ask for a treatment .

Hi Gavin

Not sure if this info is still up to date but we paid to access the LGW clubhouse back in Sept 04, when flying PE to BGI.
I asked about treatments when we arrived and was told that we were not entitled. I am/was FC Red.
This was despite the fact that the clubhouse was really quiet due to the hurricaine canx flights to Florida that year.
But in my opinion its worth smiling sweetly and asking :D, you never know !
If you can't get a treatment, just sit back relax and enjoy the food and drink...[y]

I paid for access to the LHR CH in March via VH. I emailed them and booked treatments in advance.

No probs on the day, my booking was there when I arrived. Nobody queried that I wasn't AU or in UC.

Best of Luck....;)

Well the site is quite specific on it "The prebooking service is an exclusive benefit for Upper Class passengers and Flying Club Gold members. If you are bringing a guest to the Clubhouse with you, they are now welcome to use the Virgin Touch salon but will need to book their desired treatment at the Clubhouse on the day of departure.". So looks as though the rules aren't being applied.

This is what confused me as I read that also, but if you look at this page from VS it says 1 per person and to e mail them.

It does indeed ;). Bearing in mind VH aren't VS it is either VH claiming too much or VS having changed the rules and not told anybody. I suspect the former as it wouldn't really please VS Aus to hear that they can't get the booking slot they wanted because an infrequent flyer in Y has already booked it via VH ;).

Well blow me down. ;). It seems to be a dilution of Au benefits - this just in from Customer Relations

"I have spoken to the lounge who have advised that anyone with confirmed access to the lounge will be able to pre book treatments."
