I have recently joined V-Flyer & am very green so please forgive me if this question has been answered before. If I check in on line tomorrow (Mon 26/6/06) for my flight to Miami on Tuesday out of Heathrow is there less likelihood of me being upgraded? Would it be more advisable to check in in person?I have a full flexible ticket & am travelling in PE & am a silver member? Any prompt answers would be much appreciated, thanks.Roxy-Popsy.

Hi Gillian - yes this has been covered before - its always a good idea to do a search using this and not only will it point you to some previous posts but I always find that there are other things the search turns up which are intersting.

However - in direct answer to your question - experience shows it makes no difference. You may find ta there are deals to be had whilst you are at check in or you can ask at the ticket desk to see whats available - as you have a fully flexible ticket and you are silver then you stand as good a chance as anyone - just remember to smile!!!

Thank you & so sorry, I told you I was green, I shall investigate. With regard to your last 2 lines, if I do that I shall end up at the rear near a toilet knowing my luck! I shall let you know how I get on.
Interestingly, 2 years ago when 3 of us flew to Miami at the same time of year & we all had 'k' tickets, we were all upgraded to UC.thanks again.

I believe upgrades are decided in advance so you may be lucky when doing on-line check-in. There have been instances when V-Flyers have been told they are upgraded then.

Good luck and enjoy your trip
