If you do a forum search for Maxjet (as opposed to Maxijet :D )

You will find several threads, including a few trip reports.

I here the pads are free in the kit they give you.

They run last minute specials dirt cheap. They also seem to cancel flight at a rate that is more than normal. I just notice flights canceled on the Dulles screens when passinf thru.

Thinking of using them to New York...

You need to compare like with like. A Maxjet seat is no where near a UCS seat or a BA CW seat. Maxjet offers "old-fahion" business class seats which would equate to a VS PE seat with slight more room/space. The low loads on Maxjet vs high VS PE loads also add the available space for pax.

You do get business class benefits like lounge access, etc.
The catch is the same with smaller airlines. If there are delays/cancellation/problems, there is no back-up plane/plan.

I would respectfully suggest that Maxjet p***** from a height on PE seats... ;). A LOT more space and a LOT more recline. Getting on for J2000.

Having flown both MaxJet,BA club and WT+ and VS UC and PE the space is up there with UC,more than Club,WT+ or PE.The seat IMO is more comfortable than the CW seat and leagues ahead of WT+ or PE.

Service was better than BA or VS with FA's doing a great job in the air.

The kicker at least in my case was the price which was half of PE/WT+.

Agree with Jetwet1 and Decker, you've got to make sure you know what you are comparing. Maxjet is head and shoulders above PE in every aspect, louge, food, seat, space, service. Yes, the seat is old style but I found it a much more comfortable seat than the UCS. of course its not a bed, but then its also probably a third of the price of UC.

My concerns are more to do with what happens if there is a tech delay, but so far I've been Ok with them.

Looking around their website, I gather they don't have a frequent flyer scheme yet?

So, you haven't seen the "MAXflier" link at the top right of the homepage then? [:w];)

Still, at a 16:1 flight/reward ratio, it's not the most generous scheme out there to say the least [n]

Now the sale offer is including VEGAS!!!! Just booked 15th. Feb. £599 Return. I have been looking for someone else to fly with apart from VS, they have been penny pinching far to much lately. Last trip to Vegas they had no booze on the flight at all!!!!! Said that as they were running late, didn't have time to reload any, WTF.

Hi Stoneman

I've just booked to LAS too on 22 Feb for the same deal.

I'm there in December flying PE and I can't believe I've paid less for this than I have flying VS PE [:0]
