We are about to do our first PE flight in just under 3-weeks, and more importantly I am not driving on arrival for the first time in years. Previously we have always flown UCS or Club with a non-stop flow of champagne - which I have never been able to savour because I was always driving on arrival. Now I am not driving but on PE I believe you only get the initial glass on boarding. So, my question is how do you get more champagne - can you buy it on board or should we aim (if allowed) to take a bottle on the flight? We are flying to Jamaica so the US liquids restrictions should not apply. Also, what is the drink service generally like in PE? (I don't mean to sound like an alcoholic - I'm not honest, I just want to enjoy the flight as much as possible
).
Hi Halo,
Firstly, yes you do get offered a glass of Champange when you get on in PE, and usually a top up is offered also. Overall the service of drinks is good, wine with meal, top up offered, brandy/baileys offered after meal - a couple of other drinks rounds usually done also (and I imagine if you wanted a drink at any other time you could ask).
As for extra Champagne, you can pre-order a bottle for you on your flight, AFAIK you are not allowed to consume your own alcohol on a flight but ISTBC on that so you wouldnt be able to take your own (irrespeciive of the current restrictions, but IRIC you cannot take drinks onto VS flights still anyways)
Neil:)
