Second letter from MBNA arrived this morning, urging me to convert to the American Express card. Not tempted, after everything I've read here [:0]

In fact, I have already gone for the BA Premium Plus Amex, my reasoning being that if I have to have an Amex, I may as well have a good one, with a useful 2-for-1 companion reward. At the same time, with VS becoming "just another airline", as well-documented on this site, I have jumped ship to BA completely. With my sentimental attachment to the VS ethos dashed by the recent changes, it's a no-brainer for me with my mix of short- and long-haul travel as I'll achieve BA silver easily through my long-haul trips giving me lounge access for my roughly monthly domestic and European travel.

Sad to do this [:#], but have some great VS memories. Will no doubt be back sometime, though;)

Hi Luke,

I am also thinking about jumpiong ship as well. I have jumped on a few BA flights to see what I am missing VS is becoming "just another airline"..

Hey Luke

You know VS is just an excuse to get like minded people to socials so we'll still look forward to seeing you both there! :)

Also recieved second letter from MBNA.

May consider it now that MC is approaching non-earning territory and I have to go somewhere - although with a backup card. Also MBNA are still offering 5k bonus miles if card is used before the end of November.

Thanks. Don't worry. Whichever airline I'm flying with, we'll be along to any socials we can make;)
