I can't see VS going down the WiFi route as they will be very aware of Boeing pulling their Wifi system so they know this wont make them much (if any) money.
As I've mentioned before, if you have ever tried using a lap-top when sat in a Y seat, you will know that it's pretty uncomfortable and not easy, so I dont think Y PAX would do this for too long anyway. The only seats where using a lap-top in Y is really possible are bulkhead and exit row seats.
All airlines seem to be coming up with new ways of making extra money from onboard PAX. This mobile thing is just the latest scheme.
