VS to operate DEL with A346 for the Winter?

Just read a rumour on A.net that VS are going to operate DEL with the A346 for the winter, up until March '07. Has anybody heard anything about this? Can the A346 do DEL now, what with the taxi way problems? Is this the end for the A343?

A346s have operated DEL occasionally so maybe it's BOM that's a problem with the A346?

Taxi-way problem were resolved at DEL a while back. As VS045 states the major Taxi-way problems are at BOM.

DEL has been upgraded for the winter timetable, the A343 has been moved to IAD for winter.

IAD will be getting a A346 on heavily booked days over the course of the winter, it's not all doom and gloom.... We had a thread about this knocking around a few days ago, I cannot see it at the minute though.

Yes the DEL is getting the A340-600 I flew there last week on one.
Also the VS007 LA is going back to an A340-600 too.

I wonder what a certain previous member of this site would think of these improvements to VS servoce to India.[}:)]

I've done loads of Delhi's this year - most of them on an A346:)
