Just back from Dubai, and we upgraded our outward leg from PE to UC. Now, I was expecting to get around 5k points per leg, as I was advised when booking. But I notice that I have been awarded 5k points for the return leg, but nowt (so far) for the putward. Is this normal? Has the UC seat just cost me 25k points instead of 20k?

This is a longstanding oft discussed problem with the VS booking system (and from what I'm reading on FT possibly on BA too). You have to call CS and explain that your PE miles haven't shown after an upgrade and they'll sort it. You MIGHT be able to claim on line too - unsure.

I tried online for my trip, but it didn't work. I emailed and they responded the next day after adding it manually. Better than having to call an 0870 number, unless you are in a hurry.

As you travelled upper class (albeit through upgrade) why not ring Premier and get them to add it on manually?
