Hi Neil,

We also flew internal to Boston and needed to get from Airport to hotel. On advice of our friends (who had landed a couple of hours earlier) we took a taxi which cost around $20 (incl. tip) and only took 15 mins (to Langham Hotel). BOS is pretty central compared to airports in other cities.

Hope this helps

James

Cheers James - taxis for me are usally the easiest if the not the cheapest option, but I am sure I remember some of the more regular visitor's to Boston saying something about some kind of train thingy which sounded quite interesting and I just wondered how easy/cheap that was.

Have never taken the train/metro, but if memory serves me correct it only goes to South Station, then you need to connect at least once ... ?

Now that the Big Dig (and that's another story, well worth looking up!) is complete, taxis are the most straightforward way and shouldn't be more than $25 with tip. It's a short journey unless you hit rush hour, even then it's not crazy.

Ah, now I recall another time flying from LGA to BOS, taxied to the runway, started take off to come to a stop, came off the runway at which point the captain said "we had a little problem with no. 2 engine, we're just going around to give it another go" [:0]. No probs ... hope that doesn't happen to you.

Taxi it is then - can't be doing with changing trains and all that, I get confused far too easily - thanks again for the info[y][y]

If you want cheapish and easy, taxi is probably best.

If you just want cheap, and want to save a few dollars, get the T.

There is a free bus that does the circuit of all the terminals, and includes the T station. The Blue line runs from the Airport into the city centre, where you can change to the orange, green or red line - whichever is closest to your hotel.

Arlington (Green line) and Back Bay (orange line) are the closest to Jury's. They are still 3 or 4 blocks away though!

Your call - taxi for about $25 or T for $1.25 with a train change and a walk with luggage.
