and a polite suggestion to try the search engine first ;)

Thanks, that was useful. Anyone been there more recently - I appreciate that it may seem poor by UC standards but don't expect that.:)

I find the references to 'bucket & spaders' etc a little annoying as we are all passengers, regardless of frequency of travel, and feel that people are sometimes being looked down on- rant over!

Cheers
Martin.

Martin

The Escape Lounge is very unlikely to have undergone any significant changes recently. Manchester Airport has a bit about it here

I suspect that the common conception is that "B&S" people tend to be a lot more price sensitive as the main pleasure in the trip is the destination. For most business travel the main pleasure is the flight ;). Now in the case of VS a lot of B&S people now view the flight as being the best way of starting and topping off the holiday!

Recently used the Escapes Lounge with a UCS flight to MCO and found it to be excellent. It wasn't particularly crowded and offered ample in the way of refreshments. There were plenty of newspapers to read and some magazines also. We stayed in there for 2 hours or so and found it relaxing.Enjoy it !

Hi Martin,

We used it back in August and were pleasantly surprised. It was quiet and relaxing a good start to the trip. It had the normal tea, coffee, orange juice, cereal, croissants, toast etc. so no need to worry about breakfast it was more than adequate.

We are on the VS075 in March but as we are travelling with our young son it is off limits (can only gain access with infants if travelling in UC) otherwise we would definately be using our Priority Pass to gain access.

Sure you will enjoy it.

Regards
Nevil

I'm currently in the Escape Lounge & have to say that it's not that bad at all. Sure, it is no Clubhouse (not that I have been in one) but it is clean, quiet & modern. Downstairs in the main departure area, clean & quiet are not words I would use to describe that area.

There's currently a selection of fruit, toast, croissants etc out in the Escape Lounge for breakfast & there is also a free bar, which I may have to take advantage of shortly.

On a sideline - someone else off V-Flyer has used this laptop in the Escape Lounge & the internet cache has not been cleared - as soon as I got as far as http://www.v- of the URL for this site, it had been matched from the cached list.

Thanks
James
