Is there a better route ?

I am working on a project where I have to travel every few weeks to either San Francsico or Denver.

This week I am in Denver, and previously I used to use BA on their direct service.

As I am close to 40 TP this year, I decided to head via Washington.

So I headed out here on VS021 and connected at IAD on UA903, there was a 2 hour layover, and I got to the United Gate just as boarding started.

However, on the return, I leave Denver at 10am MT and arrive at LHR at 7.05am on Saturday.

Has anyone got a better suggestion how to get to Denver, using Virgin and preferably a Virgin TP partner, that does not involve an overnight stay.

Your advice would be welcomed !

You could try through EWR using CO to make the connection..... you will always have an overnight flight or overnight layover though, due to time zone crossings. I think the last flight from EWR_DEN is at 5pm, so you'd probably have to go OVER using the CO codeshare, although you could return on the VS002 on Virgin metal.

You could get CO629, it leaves DEN at 1238 arrives EWR at 1829, then connect with CO8222 (VS2) leaves EWR 2125 arrives LHR at 0905. As stated you won't be able to do it on the same day due to time zones or an over night at an East Coast city ie NY. If you book CO all the way through, your baggage would be checked through, so you are not having to re check in at EWR.

Thanks for the suggestions, I had looked at the LHR-EWR-DEN option, but it needs an overnight stay in New York.

I have to use Virgin, as they are a corporate partner, and we have a route deal. Looks like the LHR-IAD-DEN is the only way to go.

It's only when you get on other airlines, you see how dirty they are, and having a shock when you have to pay for food !
