I think OLeary has finally lost it - He announced last week in a paper that "cows" do more damage to the world than aircraft. Its down to the emissions and the number of cows compared with aircraft -He also stated in the same article the " there is more emissions also coming from the "fat cats" in their business class suites eating, drinking and farting - Now Mr O Leary - please

What exactly are the cows omitting to do that planes and business people do? On the bright side for the cows, a sin of ommission isn't as bad as a sin of commission so estate agents stand to spend longer in purgatory than cows.

I think that what Decker is saying, in his own unique way, is that what come out of the back of planes (and cows) to pollute the atmosphere are emissions [8D]:D

Hahaha! :D [^]

Seriously I think O'Leary has taken this too far now, he's only stirring up **** for himself again.

Remember this is a man not known for his sensitive side. I suspect as long as Ryanair's name is in the newspapers and people are flocking to buy tickets on his airline he doesn't care what **** he stirs up. This is a man who's dressed as the pope to advertise his airline fergawds sake.

But cows do contribute quite a lot to global warming, so he's not entirely at fault;)

LOL. Very good [y] But there is only one 'm' in omission Decker ;)

I knew a cow once who certainly emitted as much damage as a 747. However, therein lies another story that probably is better discussed over a beer.

Indeed, Methane - CH4 (what comes out of the back of cows... and business men in suits, or suites(upper class, one presumes?)) is a far more "effective" Greenhouse Gas than Carbon Dioxide - CO2 (part of what comes out of the back of Aeroplanes). This has something to do with the greater number of atomic bonds for infrared radiation to bounce around off of. [|:)]

So in essence, if we burn Methane (cows or businessmen) to power the jet engines of the world, we are doing the world a great service by converting the nasty nasty Methane into less nasty Carbon Dioxide.
