The title of the thread says it all.... according to my Amex statement, I was due 2004 FC miles from my November statement.

I've checked my FC account today & I've only been credited 939 miles. Do I give them a few days to notice the error & fix it or risk the joys of calling MBNA today?

More to the point, has anyone else on here been short-changed on miles this month?

Thanks
James

Well they seem to have given me more than I was expecting, in two seperate transactions for 4th December, one was correct but I have no idea what the other is for.

They have also charged me interest when I had paid my card off in full. They may be busy today.

As always MBNA are up the creek! I have a credit on my FC account bearing today's date. This tallies with the figure as per my Nov statement. However I've also got another credit, again with today's date, with the identical number of miles that was credited last month (2nd Nov). No doubt they'll spot their error and deduct the duplicate credit but for the moment I'm not grumbling, I'm 13,179 miles up :)

Mine have been fine up until this month - for some reason they've given me two lots - one for 10k ish, 1 for 1.5k. Strange as I'm only due the latter. I'm not complaining though!

Looks like I posted too soon earlier - there is now another credit on my FC account, with the correct number of miles for November. Like Vegascrazy, above, the original incorrect credit was a duplicate of the October miles which were credited in November.

I guess the question on everyone's lips is "Will they notice?"

Double miles posted here too. I'd assume that a large number of card holders have had this happen. Shame really, the extra 13k miles would really come in handy right about now!

Thanks,
Sarah

Was it double miles for you Sarah or did they simply re-credit the identical miles you got on 2nd Nov?

Yep just double checked, they've posted Novembers again this month. Perhaps this topic should be deleted ;)

Like some of you others, I today got the correct number of miles from November statement, and a duplicate number of miles matching my October statement. I used them to upgrade a flight next June to Upper - no problem. However I now find both lots of miles have vanished, leaving me with -13,000 miles!

Mine have always been right, apart from yesterday's mistake, which was in my favour had it not been noticed (amazing how they notice and correct a mistake that costs them straight away but ones that cost us seem to take forever to sort[ii])

Like Neil, mine have always been "right" when it comes to the figure on a given statement matching the figure on my FC account. The big "BUT" though, as discussed here dozens of times, relates to the method by which MBNA derive the number of miles they award you on the statement in the first place.

ISTBC but haven't seen one example of someone who has been able to apply a consistent formula, month in month out, to derive a figure they believe matches exactly the T's & C's of the scheme. We've all talked about the rounding down element and that sort of thing, but to this day I have never achieved a consistent spot on tally with the figure I get myself when applying the rules "to the book". Have given up now, its always close, but with numbers it really should be case of coming up with a 100% reliable formula [?] At the end of the day, MBNA must have a formula programmed in their system, just wish I knew what it is!

Cheers,

James
