Just looked at the VS flights departing from JFK, EWR and BOS and there seem to be a lot of disruption..maybe because of the bad weather that they're having over there it was -2 with a wind chill of -7 yestersay with lots of snow..

VS4
JFK-LHR
Scheduled Dep:18:30
Actual Dep: 20:33
Scheduled Arr: 06:20
Actual Arr: 08:08
A340-600 (G-VFIT)

G-VWEB (VS25) that went out yesterday (14th Feb) came back as VS10 and landed 16:32 when it was meant to land 09:25 but there doesn't look like there is a VS26 coming back, the flight trackers just say 'Call Airline'.

VS18 EWR-LHR also had a little bit of a bad time today not only did it take off 2 hours 20 min late it was diverted after just passing Boston, to JFK and I heard on the air traffic control that there was smoke on board and it taxied to gate 30. This must be a nightmare for the passengers..

Yeah some passengers the other day were predictiing this - they said some bad weather was on it's way!

But to be fair it's like this every year around this time!

There really wasn't that much snow, only an inch or two, but it was the ice that really screwed everything up.

... and not just the passengers. It's not much fun for the crew or for their families who just get a text to say cancel all plans, no idea when we'll be home.

Coming right after NYC's Westminster (think Crufts, American style - otherwise known as THE dog show over here), this couldn't have happened at a worse time for those who travel with animals. I'm glad I didn't go this year.

Hopefully everyone will get to their destinations safely and soon. [y]

There speaks someone from a country that can handle snow[^][^][^]

"only an inch or two" of snow in London is enough to bring everything to a grinding halt and many having a "snow day" off work[:w][:w]

The Captain has landed, so only 36 hours late home from work then! His dinner is ruined...

Sorry to hear that - can't be fun for any of the crew involved. As for the dinner - don't you have a hostess trolley? [:o)] Next you'll be telling me you don't put peaches on your cornflakes ;).
