Can anyone give views on:

Westin Casaurina

Tuscany

Prov. booked TI, but likely to change.
Any other polite suggestions welcome[}:)]

Waiting for rates/room type from a very helpful V-flyer.[oo]
Dont' mind walking, but would like to be within 10 mins walk of strip. Or should we hire a car?

I like big clean comfy rooms, not bothered about the casino as I'm sure I'll lose lots. (I'm bad at snap)

Would it be advisable to change hotels mid stay(Just to experience something different, we are staying for 7 night from 30th Aug 07)

Thanks
Andy,

Westin above is Grand Cayman - not Vegas. Thanks though. Only trouble with TA is that it is to unreliable and inconsistant with reports. Just wondered if anyone had personal experience, or new someone that did. Frommer's was interesting.

Westin is ok, it's a little ways off the strip.

Tuscany I wouldn't even look twice at.Way out of the way etc.

I don't want to pay over £1,200 for the privilege of staying 7 nights. Sorry I had put in another post that I did not want the Bellagio, Wynn or Signature.[:#]

Do you just like way out of the way places ?

Meridian is way down Flamingo, South point you will need a car to get to the strip, Holiday Inn is next to an industrial park next to I 15...the wrong side however.

If I'm this bad at picking hotels, can you imagine me in a casino????

Wynn quoted $1981 today.haha haha...........good job, I didn't want to stay there anyway.
We are hiring a car,
So........I still don't know where to stay, any news on the refurb on the rooms Scrooge??

I just want a large -ish room with very nice beds, clean, so far
It's between

Westin Casaurina
Platinum
TI (prov booked but can cancel)
Luxor (players suite)
Someone elswhere said the Atrium rooms are large, but are they nice?
Any information on the above or (polite) suggestions for elsewhere would be much appreciated.

Paid for in minstrels of course

No news on the re-furb yet and as I am heading out of town next week I probably won't hear anything for a while.

Have you checked the rates at Bally's or the Aladdin?

The strip is (very) long- particularly if you're on foot, and crossing the road can be a logistical nightmare (it can take ages to get anywhere in real terms ). Any idea which end you'd like to be and any idea how much you're looking to spend? Changing hotels is a pain - we did it because I got the flight details confused and started our booking for the day after we arrived- the Bellagio then wanted ridiculous ammounts of money for the first night (and I was far too mean to be parted with even more money than they were taking already!). FWIW I'd be tempted to stay in one place. IMHO TI is pretty central on The Strip with enough going on around to occupy someone who isn't holed up in a poker room or playing tables.

Ps not fussed on minstrels - can I have peanut M+Ms instead please?

Hi Scrooge, me again,

Just back from Orlando, I think I've got it down to the Hilton Grand Vacation Club 2650 on the strip. Good reviews on TA (if they can be believed), 1 bedroom suite. (£720) What do you think of this one???? Any news on the refurb on the rooms at the Strat?

We bought 10 cases back from MCO, and they might come in handy for your Minstrels. I take it you will be in Vegas sometime from 08/30-09/06 to recieve them. You can recognise me as the person with extra long arms dragging all your sweeties about.

I have not heard anything about the Hilton, sorry.

The location is not bad, pretty much in the middle of things, still a little walk from the strip, but that is not such a bad thing.

Fingers crossed the refurb will start right after 4th of July weekend, from the artist renderings I have seen, the rooms should be pretty nice.
