Read this week that Pakistan 747s have been banned from flying to Europe as the aircraft do not meet cleanliness standards for inside and outside. How bad must they be to be banned? They say they are dealing with the problem.
My wife said that she had also read recently that some US airlines had been pulled up for not cleaning the inside of their aircraft enough. Doesn`t sound too good to me. Maybe some of the upset stomachs people complain about are coming from the flights not the hotels[:0].

This report suggests that the airline does not have the best safety record with cases of unserviceable over-wing exits, intoxicated pilots etc.

I have to say though the condition of their 747s on the outside scares me when I see one at MAN, same with the Travel City Direct 747-300. I believe that PIA are still using 747-200s as well alongside their 747-300s.
