I managed to get cheap flights from NCL - AMS on Sat 7th April for 2 nights and trying desperatly to get accomodation in Amsterdam but can i find anything at a decent price?
Not unless i want to fork out about £400 odd and thats a bit pricey for me.

If anyone has any ideas i would gratefully appreciate it.

We've stayed at the Radisson SAS which is lovely, and also the Jolly Hotel Carlton which wasn't. Well no, it was "ok". They thought that a double room was two single beds pushed together and then got upity when we all wanted to be moved to proper double rooms. And they also tried to charge us a fortune for an extra guest - one room had one named guest despite being on a two person sharing rate. Fortunately we had Expedia booking with us that had that on.

Try the Amsterdam Marriott, it often has cheaper rates than hotels around Dam Square as it's located a bit further out (approx 10 mins by tram from Centraal station but very easy to get to). The executive lounge has good views and now opens on the weekends - a welcome improvement.

Thanks guys,

Managed to get the Golden Tulip Amsterdam Centre by calling the Amsterdam & Convention Board in Amsterdam.Got a fab rate at £345 euros for 2 adults staying in a deluxe room for 2 nights.

Def recommend them as this was a lot cheaper than booking with hotel directly.

Oh, Amsterdam , we love the place and make half a dozen weekend trips a year (New Year is bloody good here too, you just need to be able bodied enough to dodge the fireworks are firecrackers :) ).

We've stayed in numerous places but our favourite is the Banks Mansion It's location is perfect, the service is outstanding plus you just help yourself to beers (Becks) and soft drinks and other bits whenever you like sure, that novelty soon wears off but we love the place. Most bathrooms have rainshowers and steam rooms :) Breakfast is included in the rate and it bad at all.

Followed by the Radisson SAS.

Third on our list is the Eden Rambrant Square Hotel and this is more of what we class as our 'budget hotel' when we've stretched to a trip too many ;)

Marriot is OK and we do consider it depending on out budget but we usually head for one of the first three I've listed.

Golden Tulip is good value for money however, not all rooms are air con (not so bad in April) and most rooms are tiny but, if you pay the right price you'll be fine.
