I received an email with the subject line:
"Last chance to be one of us"

and the content can be seen here.

Now, nothing mentioned in the body of the email BUT what do you think the subject line could mean?

Am I just reading too much into the subject?

Paul

It is a strange title, but I think it's just a poor choice of words. I can't think of any logical reason as to why an airline would completely close off members from a certain country from joining.

I just think it is a badly worded title to a not very impressive attempt to drum up membership for the Flying Club.

Why would they send it to you, Paul? I assume you are already a member, given your Gold card avatar. [?]

Edit to add - interesting, when you click on the link in Paul's link.
Flying Club is a bit special. So, as a member you'll get:
.....access to The Lounge, an online community of fellow flyers...

What is that all about? [?]

If I recall, there are multiple mailing lists which you can belong. I asked before as I get the silly general mails encouraging me to join FC.

Thanks,
Richard

That link is a US member acquisition link... the Lounge is a US promotion for FC members.

I have 'fishing lines' in a number of mailing lists to make sure I don't become a statistic in 'Brand New Customers Only' marketing ;-)

And Nick, T -9 months until I loose Gold Status!
