From May 2007, Virgin Media are increasing the speed of their top 'XL' package from 10Mb to 20Mb. Upload speeds will also increase to 768 Kbps.

The price will, however, go up by £2 a month from the current £35 to £37.

This only applies to cable broadband though.

Thats rather nice, we are now in the VIP package that includes XL broadband. The release doesn't mention what happens in this instance.

The rumours I have heard is that the price won't change if you're in a package bundle, just if you take it separately (like me; which is a situation I'm planning to fix!)

And what do you think of their service? Are you signed up just for broadband, or the whole V media bit?

We are now on the full works VIP Package. We've always had good service, under the old Telewest and now under VM. Having it all together makes it easier to manage and the service level has been great.

Yep us too, we have Virgin Media everything TV Phone Broadband Mobile x 2 and haven't had much of a problem with any of them, perhaps the odd glitch with the mini guide on the TV telling us there isn't anything on today but that's easy to fix. It makes it easy having everything in one place :)

Oh then there's Virgin Atlantic for the flights and of course Virgin Holidays and the dreaded Virgin Atlantic Amex [8D]

Looks like Richard Branson owns us;)

We've got 2 Virgin Media boxes on the XL package with Sky Sports and Movies, phone service and 2Mb Broadband.

And we are upgrading to V+, Talk Unlimited and 10Mb (20Mb from May) Broadband as form of compensation from VM for losing the basic Sky channels [8D]
