I have just had a look at my statements for Jan and March and see that I am not being awarded the miles at the bonus level but only at the standard one. E.g. I should get 4 miles per £ till June or whatever and only getting 2. Not spent £20k yet.

Any ideas on what to do / who to speak to at MBNA?

I fear this may be a drawn out process to sort out.... [:(]

Ring the customers services number and ask to speak to the lady who deals with the MBNA/AMEX/VS miles allocation - she is there (sorry but have not got her name)

This helpful lady will then sort it out.

Thanks for your help! Does anyone have her name? Is she on the 0800 062 062 number?

Well I can't work out what MBNA are playing at. Over the last few months everything has been fine with 4 x statement total being awarded as miles - eg last month's statement total was £1731.06 and this is what I was awarded >>

STANDARD MILES 3,462.12
BONUS MILES 3,462.12
TOTAL MILES 6,925.08

...so no problems in February, ie. 4 x statement total as per above.

This month's statement total is £4027.45 and this is what I've been awarded >>
STANDARD MILES 8,054.90
BONUS MILES 4,664.56
TOTAL MILES 12,719.54

No problems with the standard miles, exactly 2 x spend as per above but how did they arrive at 4664.56 for the bonus miles? Appreciate that the introductory offer of 4x spend is up to the first £20K of spend which I guess I'm nearing or indeed at...perhaps MBNA have some kind of pro rata formula such that you end up with a percentage of the bonus miles, in this case 58%?? Is your 4x rate set against the fee-paying card?

I get standard rate @ 1 mile per pound, plus a bonus of the same (making it 2x I suppose) on a non-fee card.

Does anyone know where the rate are set/written down?

Cheers

Tony

P.S. Don't mean to sound a duffer but can't find the original offer of transfer from the Visa card!
