Are FC benefits about to change?

I logged into my FC account a short while ago & on the left hand side menu, there was a "Downloadable Forms" option. Clicked it & followed a link to download a Flying Club guidebook (in PDF format).

There were some interesting things in the guidebook, which covered all 3 levels of membership.

1. 25% bonus base miles for FC Silver - no mention of it. Only Gold got 25% bonus base miles in this guidebook (so what happened to the 50% they get at the moment?)

2. Miles earning table (on P17 I think) - it had "n/a" down as the number of miles that a MAN-MCO UC fare would earn, despite UC fares on every other route earning miles.

3. Redeeming miles (P20, I think) - all US destinations, including West Coast ones were listed as being 80k miles in Upper Class.

They were the obvious mistakes [or signs of things to come] that I noticed. I then logged out of my FC account to check the FC links on the VS homepage - yes, they all show the benefits that people here are used to, i.e. 25% bonus miles for Silver, 50% for Gold... and 100K miles for a return UC ticket to the US West Coast.

Logged back into my FC account and the link has gone... I am now searching my temporary internet files for the PDF that was downloaded.

Are VS planning changes to the FC package of benefits?

Just to add... I have recovered the PDF of the FC Guidebook from my temporary internet files & saved a copy. If anyone wants a copy, drop me a PM and I'll send it on.

It is the guidebook from years ago when there was a guideboook. No changes that drastic are due.

OK, I admit, I did not get as far as looking at the back page of the PDF file - I just thought it odd that this new link suddenly appeared [then vanished] off the FC homepage when you were logged into your account.

Or, maybe I was just thinking along the Scrooge Pack lines - i.e. the front cover looks OK [just]. Inside, the less said the better. Back cover, don't even bother.

Hi Kraken,

Sarah and I just had to double take at the difference we were seeing on the website, as I couldn't see 'Downloadable Forms' header, but she could. Yet again, the web team at VS have done wonders. The 'Downloadable Forms' piece is from an old version of the site that seems to still be there live in the background when you click on 'Your Tier Points' on the right hand sub menu.

Reporting it to the correct people at VS now.

Glad you could/could not see the link too - at least I know I am not cracking up. The VS website is not the slickest one out, clearly. Hopefully the people you report it to at VS will put things right with regard to this link.

The more important question at least from my point of view, is the site allowing you to book seats at 80K west coast UC reward? If so LRoM please put the phone down.... NOW !
