For any of us growing up in the 70's and 80's saturday morning meant it was TISWAS.

Well now let me be the first (?) to tell you it's coming back.

A 90 minute special is being shot this month.

Bring on the slime !

Oh my gosh!

Ok i am slightly too young to have been a compulsive viewer, but i do remember the Phantom Flan Flinger :D My Mother was a huge Tiswas fan so viewing was compulsory for all the family!

Thanks,
Sarah

Good memories

Is it any wonder I grew up to be the person I am [?]

I wonder if they would allow half this stuff now days ?

LOL! That brought back the memories. They don't dumb down now like they used to.

Sadly I really doubt you could even contemplate doing that stuff these days without accusations of child abuse.

A schoolfriend of mine (with whom I still occasionally exchange emails) appeared a few times on the program as resident boffin in the late 70's. It wasn't until a few years later when we'd grown up that we realised that really he was the subject of adult ridicule!

The unmuted laughing from the crew always added to the occasion. "Roll telecine three." The dying fly act. Such memories!

Cheers, Howard

I loved Tiswas (and had the hots for Chris Tarrant). Can you image the nanny state allowing the antics that they got up to these days?

Tiswas was always considered a bit "tabloid" in my house, I was brought up on the more highbrow Swap Shop.... I had to have sleepovers at my mates down the "other" end of the road to be allowed to watch Tiswas.

I was one of the few kids in my school that had a colour tv in their bedroom (my how times have changed) so a few of my friends would come over on saturday morning to secretly watch the show as many of their parents thought that it was a bad influence on our you fragile minds.....LMFAO

Unfortunately i was more of a swap shop fan and even won the scarf! I had the hots for Noel Edmonds! (sad i know!)

But my younger sister always wanted to watch Tiswas and we used to fight over the tv!
