Rather than drag up my earlier thread - and since I have a more specific question - hope it's OK starting a new one.

Just curious as to how long those in the know would recommend spending in Sydney (as part of a three week tour of Oz). We're looking at 3 or 4 days, but wouldn't want to under/over do it.

3-4 days should be fine. Well that was our experience

4 days will be long enough for you to get to do everything, make sure you pre book (well in advance) to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it is amazing, you can do day, evening, and sunset climbs!

Cheers chaps. We get in from HKG (after a 5 day stop-over) earlish in the 'am', so shouldn't be too jet-lagged. 4 nights - giving us 3 'full' days - should do it.

And the bridge is a must - just need to find a sitter for mdvipond jr. Don't think she'd make it somehow...

Actually the worst jet lag I ever suffered was after the flight from HKG.......

......or maybe it was the time spent at the bar [:w]

The Bridge Climb is amazing even if we did it in the pouring rain

Edited to add:

What's happened to the "whistle" smiley? [:?]

Great. Didn't think the jet lag would be too bad with it being a 9 hour overnight flight. Must remember to avoid the bar [insert whistling smiley as and when you find it].

I've found out what has happened to it - the whistling smiley. The function which allowed you to hover your mouse over an abbreviation has been restored and so has effectively knocked out the whistling smiley [V]
